Foundations in Faith 2026-2027 Grant Cycle opens on February 15!

Eligible applicants are parishes, deaneries, offices and initiatives of the Diocese of Bridgeport.

St. John Paul II Fund for Faith Formation & St. Therese Fund for Evangelization

Am I eligible to apply for a St. John Paul II Fund for Faith Formation Grant?
If you represent a parish or a deanery of the Diocese of Bridgeport with a faith formation program, you may apply.

Am I eligible to apply for the St. Therese Fund for Evangelization Grant?
If you represent an evangelization program by a Diocese of Bridgeport organization or initiative, you may apply.

I received a Program Support Grant in 2025-2026, am I still eligible for a grant in 2026-2027?
Yes, however the recipient parish or organization is required to submit a Mid-Project Report and a Final Report for the 2025-2026 award. These forms are accessed from your Grant Applicant Dashboard.

Mid-Project Reports are due on January 15, 2026
Final Reports are due on May 1, 2026

When can I apply?
The application window is from February 15th to May 1st NO EXCEPTIONS!

What type of application should I submit?
Once logged into the Grant Applicant Dashboard, you will select "Apply" under Program Support Grants.

How are applications prioritized?
For St. John Paul II Fund for Faith Formation applications, priority will be given to programs:

(1) That align with The One,

(2) That demonstrate collaboration, innovation, replicability, and

(3) From historically under-resourced applicants.

For St. Therese Fund for Evangelization, the Curia will evaluate all applications and determine which program has priority.

If my application is accepted, how much will my program be awarded?
For St. John Paul II Fund for Faith Formation applications, grant awards may be up to $10,000.

If submitting multiple applications for different programs, Parishes and Deaneries may not receive in excess of $10,000 in total award.

For St. Therese Fund for Evangelization, the grant awards will be announced soon, check back.

When will I know whether my application has been approved?
Grant recommendations will be made by the Foundations in Faith Board of Trustees in June 2026.

I have received my award email and my application has been approved, now what? Congratulations! JPII Fund for Faith Formation and St. Therese Fund for Evangelization grant recipients will receive the funds in their parish/Diocesan office accounts by the end of July.
