The St. Francis Xavier Fund (SFX) for Missionary
Parishes transforms parish life in the Diocese of
Bridgeport. Rooted in Bishop Caggiano’s bold
vision, SFX responds to the urgent needs of
parishes facing severe socio-economic challenges.
Through faithful partnership with pastors, SFX
drives renewal by combining financial investment,
strategic support, and accompaniment. What
began as a response to crisis has become a
model of pastoral philanthropy—disbursing over
$2M across 93 grants to 16 parishes and 3
quasi-parishes.
