Giving Tuesday – SFX Fund to help COVID Impacted Churches

The Saint Francis Xavier Fund supports Diocese of Bridgeport Churches that are struggling with challenges driven by COVID related dislocation, unemployment and illness.

Despite these very real issues, our Churches remain active in their communities,

providing extensive pastoral works of charity. Given the significant decrease in offertory collections,

our Churches, mostly in urban locations, are struggling to pay their bills.

Today, on Giving Tuesday, we have an opportunity to band together and help our sister Churches survive, then thrive, because we are a family in faith. We are being called!

Before you finish all of your Black Friday and Cyber Monday purchases,

please also make your Giving Tuesday contribution to the St. Francis Xavier Fund.

To date, the Saint Francis Xavier Fund has distributed COVID 19 ‘Phase One’ Emergency funding grants to 11 parishes totaling $230,000. The goal is to provide another $200,000 of relief to those churches who have been greatly impacted by the pandemic.
